Happy, Strong and Sad

This week we had a go at taking photographs that represented different feeling or made altered the way we feel. We chose HAPPY, SAD and STRONG. Here are our results...let us know what you think.

Happy
These flowers just looked bright and happy.

The berries and leaves gave Liza a interesting pattern to look at the more that you looked at it the more that she could see, the different colours of green and the hidden berries. The rest of the group agreed.

Josh felt that this house looked like it had lots of love and attention

This photo of David's was like a mini garden - with the Wendy House at the front. I just love the juxtaposition  position of the different objects and shapes.

Sad
This was Josh's photo and he felt that it just looked sad because it was such a mess. Although David thought that is represented an opportunity to do something with it and make it better!

Josh thought that this photo looked good but he knows how stressful doing block paving can be and how long it takes. David thought that it was sad because nothing could grow there now.

David took this photo because he thought that it looked sad all in the shadow and wanted to bring it out into the sunshine

Liza thought the twisted tree made this picture look sad - she felt sorry for it.

Strong
This branch must be strong to hold all the weight of the berries.

First Session Back in Preston

Hi, We had a good first session in the garden at Lower Bank Road. It was great to welcome some new people to the group and catch up with others. We reviewed past work and then took advantage of the sunny weather and the large garden to get used to the cameras  and start taking some photographs. Here are some of our favourites.

Please click on comment at the bottom of the page to comment we would love to hear what you think of our photo's.

Last session in Lancaster

Faye and I had a good session this week getting to grips with the digital SLR camera, learning how to control the  shutter speed and ISO to photograph moving things, we also experimented with the different focusing modes. See the difference as Faye froze flying birds in action.

We took some things that weren't moving too!
