David's Portrait Project

David's Project
My project is on portraits of people at work. As I have found out there are different emotions in different places, some people like their jobs and some don't

This was taken at the dukes playhouse, were i found a photo gallery
i like this photo because the dukes had a nice atmosphere. This woman said that she had the best job in the world.

He didn't like his job as much, he seamed a bit depressed

I like this one becasue of the cheeses, it was a nice stall, next time I will get some cheese and olives

He was nice and friendly and he had some nice
local produce

What can I say but this is Bill's burgers and his burgers
are the best. Better and cheaper than MC Donaldls

Bannana man

No Photographs this week!

This week we had a great time photographing street traders in Lancaster for David's project. Then we wandered down to the Dukes to look at the exhibition of photographs by Richard Davis, follow the link to get more details.

We have not put our pictures up this week as we are getting more choosy and want to wait til we have had time to edit them. They should be on my next Wednesday evening.

Hi first week back after the break and we are meeting in Lancaster for the next 5 weeks. Today we welcomed new member Jason to the group. We headed out to the canal to take some photographs of the snow and wildlife. After all getting very cold in the snow we headed back to base for tea a biccys. We then when through our pictures and chose our favourites (picks).
We are also starting to prepare for our personal projects - we are still looking for a venue to hold our exhibition in either Preston or Lancaster - any suggestions are welcome.
Below are the some of our photographs - we have put our comments underneath but would love to hear what you think.
Here are some of Faye's picks.

Everyone just loved the detail in this picture of the swans feet.

We liked this photo because it looked like a something has run out into the canal but in fact it was a bag

The light dark divide is why we liked this one

This next pictures were taken by Jason

Jason picked this photo because of the strong shapes and the white spots on the dark background, when you look closely you can see that they are in fact snow falling. It looks like soft blobs because it is out of focus..

This looks like birds nests in the tree but isn't

This photo has such a strong composition, the eye is lead into the house, but the trees lead down the hill like a roller-coaster

. The swan is the subject but Jason liked the way the field made a arch over the detail ion the foreground.
